I can get the monotecs just right but it takes some time. Also I have noticed that most people have the head sharp but it doesn't feel as sharp as some thin blade, the thing you have to remember is there is more metal in the edge so it doesn't seem as sharp. This is a result of the angle of the blade grind.
I really like the phoenix however and will be shooting that for some time to come. I have no problems shooting that head at deer heck I would shoot it at a squirrel. There are not many heads I would be willing to try it with. I know the head can take the abuse and I know it will not take very much sharpening to get it back to hunting shape.
