I understand the whole razor wire thing it makes perfect sense but what i can't grasp is cutting width to cutting diameter. Someone please Explain. I feel dumb but for some reason I just can't wrap my brain around it.

After all..I'm the guy whom invented the Guillotine specifically for turkey...so...why would you "Test" our big game animal broadhead on a turkey? That's what the Guillotine was engineered for! You need to put an Atom thru that elk... as you can see...that little test has been done repeatedly and passed every time. This is just a little look at my personal best elk to date. And as you can see via the video...deer and many other critters prefer to NOT be the Atom test subjects as they quickly get reduced to visiting the smoker grills of bowhunters the world over! And 100% of thier doctors all agree...smokin is bad for thier health!

Richa3md has it exactly correct. Just ensure you're shooting straight with a field tip, put an Atom on that arrow...go shoot a deer, hog or elk...you put it thru the vitals...you'll see why, despite such a huge leap of engineering difference between "The main Stream" crowd of broadhead engineering you've witnessed the past few decades....we're uniquely different for an engineered reason...a very "Lethal" reason. You simply must experience it yourself to understand it.

Any questions at all...please don't hesitate to ask...
I'm glad you got a laugh from my testing the Atom on a turkey, as far as the Guillotine goes I'm not as comfortable shooting for the head on a turkey. I have killed several turkeys shooting them in the body without any trouble so I will stick with that method.

I am sure the Atom will take any animal in North America. With that being said, I am an average joe construction worker who is going to spend almost 10% of my yearly income on a hunt that I may never get to do again. I need 100% confidence in my equipment. Like I said before I am sure the Atom will do the job, I have seen the videos but I need to use it succesfully on a few deer before I use it on a rare occasion like my elk hunt.

Lets take complete care of your concern in view of your major investment in this hunt of a lifetime. How about I simply GIVE you some of our new Radian broadheads to be a true, independant, unbiased test on a large and grand animal such as the elk is. Please PM me your name/address and you'll be one of the first to receive them so you can get shooting them and be comfortable with them well before your elk hunt takes place. I'll chunk in plenty of replacement blades so you'll be all set. Let me know if you want 100 or 125 grain.... All I'd ask is that you get back on here and provide all others a true report of performance and any photo's which may provide subtance to support your comments. A huge elk in the 400 class range would be a good start!!
This sound like a good alternative which alleviates your concern over our Atom technology? The Radian if you are unaware of it has scalpel sharp cape buffalo worthy blades and body to match. Cutting width is 1.5 inches via those .039" thick blades. Once the hunt is done...and you're back to chasing whitetails...maybe then you can then give our Atom a test and either determine to keep shooting our Radian, the Atom...or if those don't satisfy your taste in broadhead performance...use another companies products you may have more confidence in. I agree completely...confidence is priority #1....

Very well put Matt. Providing an alternative to a potential customer is essential in business. Briarsdad has now taken the bait and very well may become a customer for life. Now that's real life marketing that you can't get from any book, class, or seminar.

I can't wait to see the report of the Radian blowing through one of my most desired to hunt animals. Go get em' Briar!!!

Matt, I love your final comment. Confidense is #1. This is so correct. Even if it is not your product, you know that a shooter must have confidence in their equipment in order have the highest probability of success. I like the fact that you believe your product(s) are superior in design from engineering, yet you are grounded enough to know that each shooter has their own comfort zone.

Boy the pressure is on me now! I gotta kill an elk on my trip now with you guys all rooting for me. Buck and Cartman are both tright Matt definatly believes 100% in his products, and is willing to "put his product where his mouth is". I must admit I am less skeptical now about the Atom then I was before I joined in this discussion. I have read many reviews and watched the videos over and over. I will tell you guys that I have every intention of whacking a big old corn fed Indiana deer with an Atom this fall!

Hey Buck, I will be hunting the first week of Colorado elk archery season 08/28-09/01. I am counting the days!!!! This will be my first guided hunt for anything and I am excited!!!! I also applied for a mule deer tag so if I draw and get lucky I might pull a double!

hey ya'll....again...thanks for such kind words.
Got a bunch of folks headed to Africa in April which will be sporting Radians and have video camera's capturing the results. It's just the start....when the packages get rolling off the line...I'll get more out to unbiased, independant field testers whom will be putting them thru animals quick as we can. It's going to be a very bad year for a lot of unsuspecting critters!
As for the elk hunt....really...no pressure as that is a very hard hunt with a low percentage of success...just go and have a great hunt and if no critter cooperates....well...that's hunting....just poke them thru the first whitetails you get a chance to poke when you get back home!

On a side note...just got my Athens Exceed bow in...in view of me working out of state and having a Bass Pro Shops less than a mile from my apartment...I'll be getting it setup this week with the bolt on toys so I can get shooting it! Can't wait to get slinging some arrows thru it!

Congrats on the excellent bow selection Matt, IMO.

You are correct with the elk hunt, no pressure. Just being there would be rewarding enough for me. But........it's still fun to poke at Briarsdad like that. He'll do just fine, and the equipment he's carrying will pull him through.
