Thanks for the instructions Yoda ~ getting ready to change mine to pink, gonna give it a shot myself instead of just having saddleman do it for me.

You'll be fine... it's really simple. Just make sure you tighten it up real good before shooting.

Ah, I just use a regular pair of needlenose pliers and they work just fine. Of course if you need an excuse to buy a new toy ... by all means I wouldn't want to stand in the way.

Another good tip to go along with the pictures is when you burn the ends try to make sure you dont let the ball catch on fire...Fray the end of the rope out with your thumb nail and just get the lighter close enough to melt it but not catch it on fire. If the d-loop material catches fire it can make it brittle and cause the ball end to break off allowing the knot to slip through.
As far as the d-loop pliers you can buy, honestly they do make a loop tight but most of them make a bigger loop than I like so I just use needle nose pliers like in the pics. I never have problems doing it that way and my loops never slip...Another good tip is to wax the d-loop rope before you begin, the wax helps the rope tighten down more and keeps it from slipping while your tightening the knots up.

Your right about the pliers making a big loop, but there are some tricks to making it small..the biggest thing is making the first knot very tight first.I roll the loop rope around a cut off arrow shaft to pull with.I do the same thing with the tag end of the second knot, then use the pliers.
