Picked these up a while back.

I do not have access to the Fish Point book and was wondering how many fish points Herters made. I saw one in bowhunterfrompast Photobucket collection but the tapered front section looks longer on the one I have.

The box is as cool as the fish heads ....... minus the black sharpie

Sticker says Herters QC1F , $.38

Shep, you do have access to the Fish point master list since you are an ABCC member. Contact Rod as he is the head of that committee and he will get a list to you. He 's listed on the inside of the front cover. He would also like to see this photo as there is some confusion between the Herters and Straubel points

Herter's made only one fish point that is a copy of the Straubel "Hit-N-Hold". The other Herter's fish point resembles the "Sting-A-Ree" but the ferrule is brass plated.

Herter's L 2.00" x W 1.00", OD .376", 5/16" PF, WD .072"

Dimensions of the Straubel, to compare, L 2.00" x W .76", OD .376", 5/16" PF, WD .71". Since the barbs are closer to the ferrule, the fish point looks bigger, but is not.

Actually I have the extra copies of the FPML. They are $5 plus $2 shipping to the lower 48
There is only a slight difference between the two heads but I think you can see it in these pictures

Herters Straubel

From the pic you posted Greg it looks like I have 3 Straubel fish points in a Herters Box (You can guess all day but good pics are the way to go)

The measurements vary slightly between heads but ....
1.99"L, .374"OD, .310"ID, Can't get a width, the barbs are bent out of shape.

Hi.
Would you consider trading one of them?
