heres my tiny collection so far. nothing outstanding but all i've come up with.
being unemployed @ present, can't be buying em. gotta pick em up thru trade. broadheads pictures by sadiejane9 - Photobucket really enjoy this site tho. in my nature to collect old stuff. and old archery gear sure is appealing. particularly like collecting stuff that has been or could be used. got numerous hunting arrows with old bear heads on em. still work as well as anything made today. thanks |

That is a good start. What heads do you use for hunting? If it is different than the heads in your collection, I guess it means you do have more, at least in the future when you change heads to hunt with.
Why don't you tell us a little something about yourself other than you like to hunt with primitive equipment? Maybe if the ABCC members on this forum think you are worthy a few more heads might come your way. Like why do you collect? What do you collect? Why do you want more broadheads to display? Why is archery a huge part of your life?

bb-don't do lots of hunting. but have taken 2 deer with some old bears someone gave me a few yrs ago. mostly i kill stumps. stlll havent figured out how to haul em out or cook em yet...
if ya took a look at some of my other albums on photobucket like this one: bow and arrow making pictures by sadiejane9 - Photobucket you'd get a perty good idea who i am. this album is just some stuff ive made lately. grew up in the country with a pops who was an avid hunter fisherer and woods walker. most of my family was into being outdoors more than in. my pops mother was choctaw and one of the best shots with a bow or rifle i ever saw. both of em could just about walk right up on a deer and slap em on the butt. never knew anyone who could walk so quietly in the woods without apparently trying. unfortunately i didnt inherit those skills...hunted more then as fer actually taking game. mostly with firearms tho. still enjoy shooting them too, but not for hunting. reckon if i cant get er done with a bow, well, just not gonna get er done at all. as fer collecting-rocks, native artifacts, books, rocks, archery tackle, old or handmade knives, old tools, art, did i already say rocks? as fer collecting broadheads....well, didnt begin to realize until recently just how many had been made over the years, and the history of em. being a student of history, an archer, bowyer, fletcher, and born collector of things old, starting to collect em came perty natural. btw, i have been trying to put names and learn about old broadheads. i think i have most of the ones pictured identified correctly. but please let me know if i'm mistaken. as for others-the only other ones i have are a few duplicates of the ones shown and a handful of '64 razorheads on arrows. along with numerous bone and steel ones ive made. oh yeah, one question-who decides if im worthy? is there a committee?

No we have no committee, since we are all our own persons. You passed my worthy test. PM me your address and I will have a few more heads headed your way for your collection. Worthy is in the heart, and I think you have it.
![]() Nothing rare in value will come your way, but I think you will be happy with the value anyway. Others will have to make up their own minds. God bless. |

I will testify on behalf of SadieJ's worthiness. Anyone who keeps a work area as messy as mine must be an upright citizen.

Considering how rare the standard heads are, I can not even imagine how few copper colored ones there are. I think it one of the neatest heads and can not figure out why it only gets a "C" rating on Wades rarity index wereas the Hillcraft 4 blade barbed I got for $50 gets a "C-"

$50.00 for the Hillcraft was a very good buy. I paid 3 times that for mine. I guess those ratings are Wade's opinion only. I think it would be hard to pick out 250 heads as your top choices and then put a value on them. I'm sure everyone would have a little different top 250 for various reasons. Many of the heads listed in the top 250 don't bring their estimated value at this time, from the economy i assume.
