Default Unknown Broadhead

Hello, bit scared as to uploading of the picture, just can't get it right, but if it works so be it. Please can anyone ID this broadhead, it was passed to me at the Archery Expo and all contact details and information have been lost, so I make this call for help,. In the description it states spot weld on edge of blade this should read "on the edge of the ferrule to blade" ..many thanks.........Bill

Can you give us a little more information? Like what year did you get it? Did you get it fom a manufacturer or someone else?

From the picture it sure looks a lot like a Fleetwood Deerslayer, but these were made around 1947. I do not see any heads from Australia that look like this one. However the color is similar to the Tuskers, but the construction isn't.

You did fine on the picture- thumbnail is all you can load until you get 10 posts.
I would also say Fleetwood Deerslayer. The measurements are about right except the length on yours is the same as the 200 gr Deerslayer. The color is not right for a Deerslayer, they were dark greens and towards black. Many of the broadheads made in Australia were copies of USA heads.

Looks to me like the height of the BWS (Bat Wing Shoulder) is to high to be a Deerslayer. I measured one I have and the BWS is about .30" high.

Maybe it's the angle it is laying but it looks bigger.

Could also be a Black Beauty. Again the color is wrong.

Default reply to your questions

Good evening Gentlemen, it's 8. 20pm Sunday night, Aussie eastern time at the moment, to answer your questions.

1. If you read the last addition of the ABCC magazine you will read the story about the Australian Archery Expo. At the Expo I met many peolpe that were interested in my broadhead collection display. Many of them said that they could not see in my collection a broadhead that they have at home, they didn't know the names of these heads so promised me that they would send them to me. This head is one such heads that I have received and I can't identify it..........??

2. The distance from the base of the ferrule to the top edge of the batwing shoulder is 0.380. I looked at the Fleetwod and Black Beauty but as you have all said the measurements don't match up. So its a mystery. thanks for your efforts..........Bill

Take a closer look at this head, it may have a similar shape as the Zwickey Black Eskimo but it is a different head
