Default New to me, same ol to you heads

In my complete arrow search, I came accross a couple that all of you have already but thought the Rippers (5) were in exceptional shape for being mounted three zillion years ago on arrows. Arrows are obviously very old, a couple losing feathers but a few not with what appears to be a pattern of shorter than 5 inch (slightly) shield cut feathers.

I tried to get a good angle on the Lafond's to show condition.

Suckers look like THAT WOULD HURT and know they have a rep for poor penetration but these dont look sharpened to my untrained eye, or if so, not a bunch.

The Lightning 4 is one of two. These appear to rust a bit easily? Sorry about the fingerprints. lol

I've also got the larger standard Lafond's Lightning too from 52, my birth year and know these shown below came a few years later. Find it rather "odd" that back in the 50s that they would go to the time necessary to put the full mfg name on the head's like this but do like it. Even better would have been if they added "Ripper" on them too. lol

God Bless!

It's always fun to find old arrows and broadheads.

The LaFond's is one of those interesting heads that I'd rather have in my collection than hunting quiver.

Thank God folks did these kinds of things to make our lives more fun and interesting!

Default Interesting taper too

Interesting taper......ONCE I GOT THE THING OFF......holy moly.

Raghorn, once again to the rescue gave me some thoughts of duplicating this for long taper head on the market today. One of a few anyway. The Tuffhead

The concept is correct I feel for strength. Betting getting it "spin" perfect straight might be an issue?

Just FYI. Was new to me.

The early Pearson skeleton heads were also a very long taper and 7 deg not 5 deg.
