It's way to quite on here

Here's a chance to test your knowledge of little known broadhead facts and the history of the A.B.C.C.

Question #1:

In what year did the A.B.C.C. begin?

a. 1973
b. 1977
c. 1981
d. 1974

The information/pictures used for this "Collector's Quiz" came from the A.B.C.C. Newsletter "BROADHEAD" and "Best of Broadheads".

You would figure with all the unbearable heat across the nation alot of guys would be hanging out in the AC. Cooled off a bit today it was only 97 here in Md.

... and for the question, I'm gonna go with 1974 !

Hey Shep....you are correct, was that a lucky guess

Question #1 Answer:

d. 1974. The A.B.C.C. began in the spring of 1974 and by the end of the first year had about 50 members.

Shep....it seems you do your best thinking in the head. Is that where you keep all of your "Best of Broadheads" or A.B.C.C. Newsletters?

Question #2 Answer:

d. Bo-N-Arrer Rocket. The Bo-N-Arrer Rocket was introduced in the early 1950's by Wm. Rice of Leeds, N.Y. The Ja-Lea Rocket came next, in the late 1950's.

Widespread Acceptance is a tough call but I would say that the Wasp heads would fit that description. I also know that by the amount of them still around today that many were made. So they were either making way too many or lots of people were buyng them.

However the first ones I ever used were the Savora's. Up until then I was a Bear Razorhead user

Seems I remember horror stories from friends who had those inserts fall off at the worst time...at least until they learned how to use em.
