Has anyone used this broadhead? Seems like a pretty good design but wanted to hear first hand from others whom have shot it at game.

I took a buck back in 07' with the Raptor which had the same basic design as the X-system with a fixed blade and two expandalbe blades. sorry I do not have pics of the buck but the arrow I used speaks volumes. Comin up are a few pics of that arrow (WHICH WAS NOT A PASS THROUGH!) It was a finishing shot after a spine hit, the arrow jammed up into the opposite elbow joint, breaking one of the expandable blades. The other two arrows are a clean practice arrow, and one used in 06' doe, pass through quartering away
with a spitfire. You can see in one pic the dry blood concentrated about three inches short of the G.T. wrap this was the extent of the penatration, then take another look at the fletchings. If I could get them (CRIMSON HEADS) to fly/spin good I would Def. use, but so far having trouble with that. (TRYING TO GET PICS UP...) And yes that is all dry blood on Raptor arrow, they do serious damage, it is something I will never forget.

I bought some of them at the end of my '09 season and and used them in pre-2010 season on 2 hogs and a coyote and had full pass thru's on all 3. The two hogs were both perfect heart shots (I'm no tack driver, just got lucky) I was really impressed with the blood trails and there was no damage to any of the blades although I had a hard time getting them back to original sharpness. My only problem with them (and why I never tried them on a deer) is when I spin-test them in my hand they shimmy quite a bit. Not just on one ,but all of them. They shot close with my field points but I just didn't trust that wobble on anything longer than a 20yd shot. I think it might just be the way the blades are helically made . I have no negative thoughts on their performance though and may try them again in the future. I am a COC fan so this BH fit into my "must haves"
