Boys, no Helix here in Europe, I was said.
They are not interested in the european market, so the importer will not put money and advertising on them, nor give some to us, the bowhunting team, to test. Incredible, to me. A 250 + million people market... Very sad about it. |

So I finale managed to use these on a hunt. I battled to get them to fly good with quick spin fletches. I then tried Fusion 3 inch fletches and they flew great. I don't know the speed but I don't think it is that fast. 540gr Arrow from a Turbo Hawk @ just 67 pounds.
I shot a blesbuck ram on Saturday. After about 3 tree steps the blood starting pumping out. After 20 yards he stopped, looked back and dropped. The blade looks like new after the shot. I know one shot and a blesbuck is not a full test but I liked how the blade performed. I will for sure use them again. |

Just one thing, make sure your bow is properly tuned and you have the right spined arrows and you don't need to worry about these broadheads.

I bought six of these several months ago. I painted one white to use for practice. After 20 or so shots into a Rhinehart 1+18, I would not hesitate to shoot a deer with it as is. It is still very sharp. I shot a nice deer in Ohio last week with a 50# Elite, Carbon Express 250 arrow tip with the Helix, at 20 yds. Got a clean double lung complete passthrough. In practicing, I can tell no difference in it and the field points. They are a winner in my book.

tallbrowtine up until now I have only shot the Helix from a Longbow and with great results. Recently I had the opportunity to shoot the Helix from a Bear Carnage 60/70 .... touted as one of the fastest bows out (345fps?)there I felt it would be a good test for the Helix and it's flight characteristics.... The arrow was a 29" GT Pro 55/75 at a hunting weight just shy of 400 grains. The Helix hit EXACTLY where the field tips hit out to 60 Yards.... That's right 60 yards. I am going to Africa if not 2011 then 2013 and the Helix and my "Longbow" will be with me. This is an impressive head to say the least. The animals I've taken with this head left massive blood trails and were recovered in very short order.
