Based ond what IŽve been told about the Slick Tricks I'will give them a try, so which 125gr model would you choose/recommend for northerneast Mexico / south Texas game (mostly whitetailed deer and javis)?

Well I have first hand knowledge of what a 100 gr slick trick mag will do to fat old whitetail. If you want a 10 gauge slug hole and blood trailer a blind man could follow, with pin point flight. I've shot the mags out to 80 yards.

The best thing on the Magnums or the Standard for that matter is the blades are interchangeable. So pick your poison, and head to the woods. They will all Git-R-Done on the critters your looking at, plus a whole host of others. Between my hunting bud's and myself, we have taken several deer and quite a few hogs with them and they keep right on rocking. I have a few other heads in my kit, but when I hit the woods I have the Tricks ready to rock.

, and a miss , but hopelly this wil be the year ; there are so many javelinas as mosquitoes believe me, some times you have to run then away cause they are literally under your stand...I consider that deers and javis offer the "most" resistance for my broadheads, but I wont let this season any critter walk away from my stand for sure...

Epic,
If I were you, I would go with either the Mag Or Standard. The Standard is more than enough head to take a deer or javelina. They were actually designed for elk and larger animals like elk. With a total cutting diameter of 2", it is plenty. The Mags and Standards have the same ferrule as well. If you wanted to go with a bigger cut, all you would have to do is get some mag replacement blades for those ferrule and visa versa if you go with mags and want a smaller cut. Hope this helps in your decision. Good Luck with your Hunting. Tony |

I noticed it first on a small hog, seen in the first pic below, but I never heard any impact, just a grunt and the hog trotted off and I actually thought I missed until it just fell over. The second pic is the entry and you can see the shoulder blade just in behind the outer muscle. It took out two ribs behind, and two ribs upon exiting the off side. Arrow was found about 30yds behind impact due to ground level shot. ![]() ![]() This was one that I got last fall under my stand. The shot hit a bit higher in the onside than I anticipated due to it being almost a straight down shot, but the results were fine with me. No more than 25yds total and she piled up right next to the road, right back in front of my stand. If you look close you can see the exit just behind the shoulder. The pic was taken with my phone while sitting in my 15' stand. ![]() Here is the 29" 340 FMJ arrow, basically what you see, was all that was sticking out of the ground. ![]() Yea I recommend them quite a bit. I currently have close to 2dz of them on hand, with about that many or more mixed standards, magnums and Grizz's. What else can I say, they work, and I love them.

Thanks for the info on the blades Tony. Guy at our local pro shop said you couldn't mix blades from mags to standards. My son shot some of the standards that got mixed in with my mags. I plan on getting some blades for the mags now.I will use them as back ups for the blood runners this year.
Epic-- Anyone of these heads will work well on deer. I will stand behind the Slick trick mags as one of they best 4 blade fixed heads to the day I die. If your bow is tuned these heads will shoot right with a Mechanical. I have shot them out to 85 yards target practicing. When these things get a hold of something there meaner than a junk yard dog. I personally would have know problems shooting bigger game than a deer with them. I only wish I had taken pictures of the blood trails along with better pictures of damage these heads did to animals. If you do your part slick tricks will do there part great broad head. |

The 125gr Std Slick Trick is my "go to" broad head for hunting here in Africa.
But any of the mentioned broad heads will do great on your intended target animals...
