Default Razor Trick Test Report

I have used the 100gr Razor Tricks this past hunting season.

These broad heads are razor sharp out of the packet and it did not take long before I had a cut on on of my fingers while taking the broad head off after it was shot into a broad head butt.

My arrow as Carbon Express Maxima hunter with total arrow weight 420gr.

Bow used was a Bowtech Tribute set at 70#

A nice Blue Wildebeest bull gave me a quartering away shot. He went 80 yards before he ran out of fuel....

He left a good blood trail...

Entrance wound

Again entrance wound

Entrance wound into the chest cavity...

As you can see these broad heads make a huge wound channel.

I shot a double lung shot.

Damage on the one lung...

Exit wound in the chest cavity

Unfortunately I hit the opposite shoulder joint and did not get a pass trough.

The broad head destroyed the opposite shoulder.

Unfortunately did not get a photo of the shoulder before the butcher got hold of it.

I am really impressed with these cut on contact 4 blade broad heads and I can recommend them to hunters that need maximum penetration like female hunters or hunters with a short draw length or hunters that hunt with relatively light draw weights.

Awesome post!!!!!! Just what we like to see. This is a testimony to the effectiveness of the Razor Trick. How easy was it to tune to your set up?

I took the Slick Tricks off and with in 2 minutes I was hitting the spot at 25 yards.

Razor Tricks get my vote for hunters looking for max penetration with light draw weight or short draw length.

Awesome! I love the flight of these heads too. They are dead on out to 50 yards, didn't shoot any farther than that. They are a nice addition to the Slick Trick family since there are some people that prefer a cut on contact head. Great post!

Great documentation I like the idea of this head and felt it would be a great head for low poundage shooters or short draw shooters congrats on a great shot and a awesome animal.

Awesome, I don't often see much on the Razor Trick, but have wanted to try it due to it's COC. Nice write up.

Gerhard - that BH definitely did the job. Nice shot placement too.

Great report, Gerhard. I have been carrying these since they came out, but have only taken a fox. I got really good penetration too!

I plan to have these on my wife's arrows this year. They seem to hit dead on with both my FPs and my Slick Trick Mag 100s. Don't know for certain which head I will use.

Thanks Chris,

They will work great for you and your wife.

Let me know what happens when you have hunted with them...

Default That answers my questions!

Gerhard...great review. How did the head hold up on impact with the off side shoulder? Any pics of the head after the kill? I'm going to do a review on this head soon as well. got some great test media! Thanks for your review.

Good cut e never saw those broadheads.

Last foto is super,i love when hunting fotos are well made(its one of a big diference between a truly PH and those who arent).
Its the last tribute(before eating them) that we should do to a animal(personal opinion).
