Not made any longer but can still be aquired.....Black Copperhead Slicer. A fixed four blade, all blades same size. The sharpening was done across two blades creating a single bevel on each blade. These would not have the the twisting action that many feel is an important aspect of the single bevel. Maybe these would just hit the animal and stop as the the BHD can't decide which way to turn!!!!!

I think you missed your chance. Simmon's was the only manufacturer I know of that offered a two blade, single edge grind head with a bleeder. They had it for sale for over a year and sold only about 7-12 over that period and I think they were all to collectors. Glad I got mine because they have dropped them. I also understand that they were labor intensive to grind the edges.

However RFA has three blade single grind heads and I hear nothing but good stuff about their penetration

Thanks everyone. I have never shot a single bevel head but I think I want to try one out on a hog.

Like BB said the Phoenix is a very good single bevel head I have shot them for a year now and have no intention of switching anytime soon. They are probably going to be the most affordable single bevel head out there as well if your looking to try them out.
