Default Muzzy 100 gr 3 blade erratic long range flight

Just wanting too see if anybody can point me in the right direction. I have tuned, and re-tuned and then tuned my bow again. Broadheads group right with my field points at 20, 30, 40, 45 yards and fly like darts. But once I hit the magical 50 yd mark they hit about 8" to the right and about 12" at 60. I can't figure it out all of my broadheads group together at these ranges but something happens after the 45 yd mark. Anyone have any advice?

I've never shot muzzy personally but I've always heard the accuracy goes out the window after a certain distance. It seems you've done everything you can to fix it also, maybe you should just chose an alternative broadhead. I highly recommend the atom. Its not conventional, but man does it perform, and it shoots with your field points at any distance, and gives the most consistant cut I've found. Best broadhead purchase I've made to date. I'm not paid or part of the arrowds corporation in any way, I just wanted to clarify because I know I sound like a salesman.

On an off note, I saw that you shoot an omen, I've been looking into them, what do you think of it, how does it shoot?

I apologize for not being able to help more.

I Love my Omen. It shoots outstanding. It was a little different to get used too going from a single cam to a pretty hard double cam. The first time I picked it up I thought man this thing is gonna be loud and vibrate, but boy was I surprised. If I had to do it over I would have probably bought a different rest. The ripcord is not fast enough out of the box. I had to take it apart and twist the spring down about a turn and a half. I have looked at the atom as well as a bunch of other broadheads. The slick tricks, montecs, snuffer ss, stingers, a few mechanicals. If Magnus made the original Snuffer in a 100 gr. screw in thats what I would shoot, but they do make it in a 125 so I may go to that. Too many choices.

I've always wanted to shoot the omen. Couldn't afford to buy one though. I agree there are a lot of choices, but i think it keeps it interesting. Have you tried the buzz cuts, those things are devestating, and the lifetime waranty is nice too. Anything magnus makes is good stuff. To be honest the look is what drew me to the atom, then i got them and the performed outstandingly. so now i have to arow atleast one deer with them. I'll never be sold on one single broadhead though, too many different ones to shoot.

Don't understand how they can be accurate at closer ranges and not at longer range. The arrow velocity is dropping further out and should be more stable, unless it is a wind situation or something else affecting the flight of the arrow further downrange. Of course long range shooting requires precise form and consistency and not many can do it or maintain it. But I have no problem shooting our heads at 80 and 100yds and do so on a regular basis as part of our long range flight testing here. Just make sure you have adequate fletch guidance for your arrows and they should shoot and group as well at longer range.
