Default Massive bone damage from a G5 Striker-warning graphic pics

I am convinced. My brother shot a whitetail in the shoulder and it dropped like a rock, then proceeded to get away. It did not go far. The arrow hit the front shoulder and shattered the bone with good penetration. This was with a 100 grain at 30 yards. SRM

Inside of front shoulder:

The head seems to have done its job very nicely, how was its condition after the shot? Not that it really matters I.M.O. I retire my heads and arrows after a kill. Just wondering

The broadhead was in very good shape and could probably be reused, but it won't be. I was impressed to say the least. SRM

Definitely did its job I would say! Congrats on the deer, and welcome to the forum.

I'm SRMs brother, LOL. That was the first time I've hit bone, not my best shot because it was rushed and the guy was moving at a good pace but the Striker definitely impressed me. I thought I'd have trouble getting the arrow out but it smashed the shoulder so completely it was rather easy to retrieve. Even with the bad shot he only ran about 50 yards ...

I switched to the Strikers last year from Slick Tricks and I think I'll stay with them for a while ...

Congrats on the deer! What made you want to switch from the slick tricks?

Looks like it did the job. I used the strikers lastyear they flew great and I killed 2 deer with the same head. Second deer just barely bent one blade, clipped leg bone on the exit. Very tough heads.

Sorry to take so long to get back, I've had a long couple of weeks at work ...

I got a Striker sample free and it had been sitting in a drawer for a year, one day I pulled it out and shot it side by side with my Slick Tricks just to see how it flew. It seemed to fly slightly better from my bow than the Slick Tricks so last year I decided to give them a try for hunting. I whacked a nice whitetail buck with a really good bloodtrail. I also like the way the blades lock on the Striker better than the Slick Tricks, not that there is anything wrong with Slick Tricks, I just like the Striker better ...

I took a doe last year with my G5 Stryker and the hit was a little back and high but she went 20 yards and dropped. Did the job!

Did you have a hand grenade tied to it?

Congratulations to you and also to the broadhead, since it did everything it was designed to do.

No grenade attached to mine, just the G5 doing its job even though my shot placment wasn't quite where I wanted. It was rewarding watching her drop in sight though. The other five took off like rabbits but she just kind of trotted, stopped, wobbled and dropped!
