Season is 32 days away. I am going to be ready on time this year (yeah right) My speed Pro is out being film dipped. I have only had my trail camera out 1 time and got 0 pictures. I have2 stands to move 2 to put up and a blind to put up. I have arrows to fletch, BH to sharpen, clothes to wash gear to pack. The list goes on and on and it seems like it is this way every year. Is it the same for you guys? I'll be all set at about 2 am the night before my first hunt. I do have my tags though so that part is at least taken care of.

We are also very ready, both Sylvie and I are patiently waiting for moose season to open up on Sept 1. Black Bear season opens tomorrow and we may get another one for hamburger meat, if you've never tried black bear spaghetti sauce, YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll have to pass shooting with my traditional gear this hunting season because I am not consistent enough yet but I know that next year, I should be in business. I think I should take the time to thank T-MAC on this tread because when everyting suddenly went totally wrong and I couldn't hit the side of a barn with my longbow and release, he took the time to help this crazy french indian out, he is indeed a wealth of knowledge. I know I thanked you before T-MAC but I think having both you and Ike on this planet just made things so much better. To good people happen good things ![]() SB |

Ike I am ready kinda I am going antelope hunting this week and I am ready have the bow tuned and everything but I will have to redo my tuning after that because I have new strings on the way. Everything esle is completely ready for the season though, I just got my zen ray ed2's and man is that some awesome glass!
And Daniel I bet bear spaghetti is awesome makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Maybe one day I will be lucky enough to get one and try it. All in all I think I should hopefully be ready but you could give me another year and I would still feel pressed for time. But it is that time of the year and I love the anticipation!

My season is 1/3 of the way over and I'm still not sure I'm ready
![]() Deer season is over, but I've got elk to chase in two weeks and you never know, I may stumble onto a black bear this season as well. I enjoy the anticipation and the preparation of the hunt immensely. |

For me that is part of the enjoyment. It is a little stressful at times but come opening day. All I really need is my bow ready and camo washed.

Season opens Sept. 15th here in Md. I guess I lucky compared to alot of guys because I live right in the middle of a farm I hunt.
I get to watch the deer all year and they are in the yard of crossing the farm lane most every day. The same guy leases most of the land here for planting and has corn everywhere this year so the bucks have not been as visible. This is the great granddaddy to the deer that roam the area. Hunted this farm most of my life and never saw this guy till I came across his carcass. The arrow is 28" to BOP. I know there is potential for a biggun so I'm always pumped for opening day. Shep

I just finished the final touches on my new camera arm I built and really just have to wash my cloths and sharpen broadheads and I will be ready. I use a climber and I've been hunting the same land for 20 years so hanging stands is a thing of the past.
I would love to harvest me a bear. Last year Oklahoma had its first bear season, but its not open in my county. |
