I guess shooting a heavy bow has its perks but it also has its hardships. Strings is one of them
I have had my bow for a short while and I am already going to be on my third string. I presently have and shoot Scorpion strings, those are what APA Innovation put on their bows. I find they wear out pretty fast although I don't put anything on them really to help with the small splintering. So yesterday, I called and ordered a few Winner's Choice strings and I am pretty excited to see how they shoot and stand up to my shooting schedule ![]() ![]() Do you have strings that you have found to be top notch and last a while? The other question is this, is there any type of string care products that actually work? SB |

I really like my Proline strings that I just put on. I can't attest to how long they last just yet. But the craftsmanship is awesome, and are spot on in length.
As for string care one of my favorite string care products is string snot it is just like a normal wax but is super slick and dang near just melts to the touch.

All the custom sting makers now make a very good string. From Crackers, to Proline, to Wicked1.
I'm personally using Wicked1 strings on my accomplice and have no complaints for them at all. He uses exclusively Brownells material and real likes the AstroFlight stuff. Let me know if you'd like some contact info.

I'm liking my vapor trail strings. I use Xcellerator wax. Its not thick and sticky like some of the others I've used. Its kinda oily and rubs in good. I'm just ruff on my strings. Rubbing them on stuff is the main cause of my wear, not shooting.

But most of the string makers that stretch you should see a lot less peep rotation and peep creep. I have never had a bow with high poundage so I can't speak for that aspect. Although I am really considering trying some 80lb limbs.
