I sit till I see the deer I want to take. Then I stand if I get the chance to without being seen, to take the shot. But if I have to I will shoot sitting down. Just don't perfer it.

I am the opposite. I prefer to sit because i dont have a rangefinder with angle compensation. When sitting the angles tend to be less severe. Also i hunt out of a blind so if i practice sitting then i can hunt comfortably out of a blind and treestand. The only time i stand is very close shots.

I do both. I only shoot standing up. As soon as I see a deer I stand up. Iv killed deer with in a minute of seeing them. Hard to turn around for a shot if a deer circles you if your sitting. If your are sitting it's hard to keep your bow arm perpendicular to your body, it throws your form all out of wack and moves your anchor point up your face. I see it all the time in hunting mags and shows. Some people have bad tree stand form. It's always better to draw your bow back level then bend at the waist, I do this when shooting 3D. In lower stands it's probably not too much of a problem. My one stand is 26' up and last years buck was 10yds from my tree, So it's something I always keep in the back of my mind.

I prefer to sit. If I stand, I'm always adjusting my weight to each leg moving more than sitting. Once I see a deer, If its far off or pre occupied I'd rather shoot standing but not scared to shoot sitting if I think there is a chance they will bust me standing.

I do a lean in the tree saddle, but I can be in a sitting position or raise to a standing. I guess I sit more then I stand and shoot from the same position I am in when the deer come in.

I usually try to stand the first and last hour of light, that seems to be when I see the most movement.

It's my second year. I haven't tried sitting and shooting. It is way brushy in NC and the deer can be on you fast so I stand. Have a lumbar pack spun around on my belly. It's my bow rest. I'm clipped in and ready to send one. So far I'll deal with the discomfort over missed opportunity any day. Stuck my secong deer with a bow last evening. Just how I'm doing things currently. I'll try sitting and shooting over the summer.

I generally stand due to an old back injury. It also makes a smaller profile against the tree. I might sit for a while now and then, so I practice shooting from both positions.

Since I practice standing, I shoot standing.

I sit 30min,stand 30min. I shoot whichever way I am when the deer show up.,but prefer to shoot standing. If I see the deer while sitting and they're out of range headed in my direction,I'll stand to prepare for the shot. That way if they take an unexpected route,I may still have a chance to get the shot off
