Fobs are heavier than fletching, so the arrow will weigh more, changing the point of impact. All you have to do is sight in for FOBs and you're fine.

The noise is directed more toward the rear due to the design of the airfoil ring. There are youtube videos with the camera at the target, and the FOBs are no louder than Blazer vanes at the target. Besides, in those videos, you can hear the bow before the arrow, and the bow is louder than either the FOBs or the Blazers.

The other thing is it takes the chance to shoot with lighted nock's.
In Portugal we hunt mainly at night so lighted nock's are essential.

It is possible to use lighted nocks with FOBs, especially if you make your own. Youtube has tons of videos showing how to do this.

I want the lighted nock to stay with the arrow, not the FOB. That is why I went back to vanes.

That is all true. It was a matter of changing the sight.

I use nockturnal's already, but the maim issue is they will pop out with the FOB, and at night the little light is precious to find the arrow.

On my arrows out to 40 didn't change POI enough to worry about. The Nockturnal Nocks only added about 10 grains for me.

If there was a lighted nock that stayed with the arrow I might just go back to FOBs. Otherwise I will stick with vanes as I like the increased odds of finding me BH and arrow.
