Default What do you think? Is this for real?

Check out the Mule Deer in this video...this gal supposedly shot it at 80 yards! I do not believe it for one minute! How about you?

If nothing else, she's kinda hot and the Mule Deer are big for sure!

You gotta be kidding me. What do mule deer just sit still broadside and don't move at all?? Do you have enough KE at 80 yards to penetrate and kill?? I can't imagine even taking that shot.

Three things:

First, I can't imagine any woman hunter I know putting on makeup to go hunt.

Second, watching her draw, she is WAAAAYYYY overbowed.

Third, I cannot imagine a situation where I would think it OK to take and 80 yard bow shot.

I may be mistaken but in the full episode it shows the shot. It was quite a poke..... I may be mistaken though. They may have stretched the numbers, but not a lot!

All female tv hunters are covered in makeup.

Overbowed? Probably, but she shoots it well.

What is an unethical, low percentage shot to you, may be a chip shot for someone else. Western bowhunting is a different ballgame altogether than eastern whitetail hunting

Mule deer aren't as skidish or spooky as eastern or any whitetail for that matter.

If Western Hunting is that easy I'm moving. I got spooky urban whitetails that are almost impossible to spot and stalk, look up at me in a treestand, etc... I'm lucky if I don't have a tree or brush in the way at 20 yards or less, much less 80. Didn't the Muley pick up on her scent with all the makeup?? Just once I'd like to see these "TV Hunters" try to shoot a deer in the little pockets of terrain I get to play with.

Average modern gear easily has enough to kill a mule deer at 80. Double pass through and hurried in the dirt...... probably not, but enough to penetrate enough to stick a single lung, no doubt.

Its a nice buck no doubt, and she does appear to be overbowed which is why i can believe the lenghty shot, especially if made with a good fixed blade. I think it may be a high fence hunt though, it just seemed suspicious to me that almost all those mule deer were huge. Maybe thats just me though.

She has other kills posted on the Internet. In my mind it is entirely possible-why not?
On the other hand I shoot a longbow; so I don't know compounds very well.
