I was looking at the specs and such of the Omen pro, and I was just curious how many people based on the specs think this bow has an application in both the hunting and target, or 3d archery world. I personally believe that its best function would be in the target or 3d area, not to say it can't be used to hunt, but I just don't think speed like that is necessary to hunt with. What boggles my mind is that speed with a short axle to axle. So i guess my question is did they make the omen pro as a target bow or an all around bow? They advertise the Evo as the perfect hunting bow so where does that put the Omen Pro? I just thought this would be a fun subject to discuss and get opinions on.

I'm not sure how to answer that question but I sure would like to try an Omen pro on about 55lbs as a hunting rig. It would still have to be in the 270-290 range but easy as heck to draw and hold.

I was never one to give PSE the respect they deserve. This all changed when I won an Omen Pro. I can't think of one thing wrong with the bow. I have not hunted with it a lot but I have spent quality time with it on 3d and spots. It is quiet, smooth but loads quickly, no vibe at all at the shot and is FAST!. For a speed bow with short brace it has no detractors. I have not chrono'd the bow yet as it is set up but I can tell you it hauls the mail and it is easy to shoot well. I have a 70#er maxed out at 29" shooting a 420 gr arrow.
