Standing Bear will become famous soon enough
Default Zwickey's 2 blade No Mercy broadhead

I really like reading up on the newer types heads made by long time running companies and this one really made me smile. Why, well because I started off shooting Zwickey Delta's in the mid Eighties and I know back then, they were the broadhead of choice for many traditional archery. Even as of today, I know a bunch of dedicated Zwickey broadhead shooters that still end up harvesting all kinds of animals with these broadheads.

So I decided to post a tread on the No Mercy to see if anyone has tried this broadhead before.

I just happen to have the picture of Denny Sturgis, from his 2007 hunt where he dropped the Asiatic water buffalo with a 165 gr Zwickey "No Mercy", and its also the broadhead I will be using this next year.

I haven't used it, but know a couple guys that use the 4 blade model in a double bevel I believe. They've had great success with it. I've used the Delta and Eskimos before and those are good heads, so I'm sure the No Mercy heads are good!

There all good, but the No Mercy is getting some good B coverage.

Zwickey makes a tough broadhead! The No Mercy should be no different. I will give them a try from my recurve and report back pretty soon.

Yep, and this is why I think I will just stay with the tried and true Zwickey Broadheads that I use. This next year I will be trying the No Mercy as used in this Asiatic Water Buffalo taken by Denny Sturgis back in 2007.

Well, I got my No Mercy heads today and, what can I say, they fly right where my field points go and they are sweeeet !! In the past I had the opportunity to see the Delta's and Eskimo's but these are in a class of their own, I like them. They do not plane one bit and hit dead on the money shot after shot.

A nice update indeed !!! Actually, Zwickey No Mercy, impressive.

Daniel, now field test them for us, as I will not get the chance to actually run a test on Big Game the rest of this year. I may try and test mine out on coyotes when I get mine in.

Zwickey 2 blade have with stood some brutal punishment over the years. I still shot a few of them on traditional gear and there tough as nails.

Now Daniel give us your feedback. When you shoot something with one.

I most certainly will provide you with feedback. One thing I have noticed is this, having shot the same head approximately 8 times in my Rinehart 18/1 broadhead target, some of the paint on the broadhead has been coming off and transferring to my FMJ shaft. I'll get a picture on here to show you what I mean. As for accuracy, this is deadly accurate. I do have my bow paper tuned, walk back tuned and micro tuned up to 60 yards. Another thing is I am using FOB's and these really stabilize my heavy shafts.

Yesterday, I shot through my Rinehart target and I hit an old piece of plywood that I had stored by the shed. Well after pulling out the arrow, I noticed the broadhead had cut through a 2 1/2" common nail. The edge was dulled but there was no visible damage to the head.

I, myself, do not keep the point of the broadhead sharpened to the tip, I add a tanto tip. I do not want to take any chances in having the tip curl on me and that is one thing I have always done, works like a charm.

But for a two blade broadhead coming out of a 101# bow, these things rock.

Daniel, I have noticed this to about the paint coming off and coloring the shaft of my CX Heritage 150's, which I don't think poses a problem. I have tested the Zwickey Eskimo 2 blade out of both my 50#, 55# recurves and my 60# longbow all giving the same awesome accuracy. I then took it one step further and tested the same arrows, with the same Zwickey Eskimo broadhead from a Mathews Drenalin @70# with the same awesome accuracy. Zero deflection from wind, and awesome penetration as well.

My arrows weigh 605 gr.

Zwickey makes all their broadheads tripple layer, and I have hit a strip of metal at the base of my bale stand, not causing any tip damage, but only felt a bit dull. A couple of swipes with a B a s t a r d fille, and it was ready to be used again.

I can't wait to get my "No Mercy" 165 gr broadheads in
