I am switching broadheads next year and have looked around on here and have picked out a few that i like. They are the atom 100 gr-ramcat 100 gr-wasp boss 100 gr-slicktrick standard 100gr-and g5 montec 100 gr.Out of these choices which one would you use?All i will be hunting with them is deer..Keep in mind that i want a broad head that will punch through bone if i make a bad shot and hit shoulder.I am shooting a mathews switchback set at 73 lbs with a 25 inch draw lenght..

I just switched to Slick Trick mags in 100gr. Deadly sharp right out of the pack and hit right with my field points. Seem to be a well constructed head and should do the job for ya.

I will add my .02 here on this topic and pick the Ramcat 100's. I killed 5 animals in South Africa with them and 2 hogs here in the states and I will tell you they are a devestating broadhead. Huge holes, wicked sharp and fly like field points. I will tell you how well they work when you can bury an arrow up to the fletching in the ham of a Warthog (from the rear, not the side) with 70 #'s at 25 yards. the warthog turned right as i released and the arrow hit him square in the left ham. Unbelievable penetration in my opinion on a big animal with thick skin and very big hams. Recovered him in less than 100 yards. You would be missing out on a very good broadhead by not looking at the Ramcats.

Although I shoot the RFA Phoenix broadheads (gotta throw a plug in)...and if I had to choose from your list...well lets say that I have been impressed with mudslinger's reviews on the ramcats...
![]() All of them are great heads...wouldn't go wrong with either one of them...

i have personally used the g5 montec and thought they were pretty good broadhead but didn't like the accuracy of them passed 30 yards. but i have a couple friends that shoot nothing other than the slicktricks. Just try one if unhappy try another. got to figure it out for yourself and find what makes you confident out in the field

Using the Wasp boss 100's like them. Very sharp and fly really well. Slick Tricks would be a good choice too. Nothing but good reports on those. I am of Scottish descent (cheapskate) so the Fact that I got a dozen for $50 was what swayed me on the Wasps.

I used WASP this year. Good heads. They are very sharp and fly great. My only problem with them is that after one use I can't get them to spin true on any arrow shaft. The good thing is you pay the same price for them as the others but you get 6 heads instead of 3.
