I have recently decided to go back to fixed blade bh and have settled on the slick tricks. My question is what if any benefits are there from a 100gr compared to 125gr bh? I know the arrows spine is a factor but have not been able to find much other info. I know there is another similar post but I didnt want to side track away from the other memebers post. Im just looking for other memebers experinces that they have had. What grain would you recommend with my set up.
I shoot a bowtech allegence 60# 27inch draw with axis 400 arrows. Thanks all in advance. |

125 definitley would not hurt. More FOC, probably more KE and more momentum (the ability of an objest/arrow/BH to penetrate, different from KE). I added 150 grains to the front of my arrow and it gave me all those thing and a lot quieter bow. 25 grains will not make a lot of difference except for what I mentioned above. It will change your spine to be a little weaker than a 100 grain head.

What are you hunting? If it's deer or smaller game with relativley close shots 100s should be plenty.
