I think the Braxe could be a good bird head but it's not something I would use for big game. The forward barbs in the front aint to hot on bone hits. The rear mount of the Big Nasty is not a solid mount on the arrow shaft and will cause blades to bend as it did on the snuffer head that was just like it. On the razor cap ferrule there is compression against the rear and it supports the rear of the head.

I'm not a fan of over the shaft technology. Having the arrow shaft act as a ferrule is not a good idea IMHO.
The design is different, but there was a head made by TR called the Bunker Buster that had a collar that fit over the shaft. It made changing arrows difficult due to different ODs on different Manufacturers. Just my .02. |

I have had a custom broadhead built by VPA and will post the initial test results here now that I have 10 posts.
The braodhead has an internal ferrule vaguely reminiscent of the Big Nasty. Stick around and I will show you a BIG nasty. I call it the Dauntless.
