Whitetail assain

I sure did it was an almost straight down shot at 3 to 4 yards off bottom of tree.The deer jerked its head up as I was releasing the arrow. It was the last little bit of shooting light. The arrow entered the eye and out back of head then through body. I didn't realize I had even hit it in the head tell the deer was recovered. I thought the loud smack was the top of the shoulder or spine. It is not a shot I tried to do but happened. I wouldnt head shoot them on purpose but he asked about bone shots.
