I am very interested in trying some out, but they are spendy. That does not bother me too much. I know that a single bevel head penetrates awesome. I am more curious on the blood they produce.
Does any one have any experience with single bevel blood trails?

Single bevels have some benefits according to some studies done by Dr. Ed Ashby. I've used Grizzlies a number of times with good success. The blood trails I've experienced were very good. Dr. Ashby explains some reasons as to why this is. Very technical, but very interesting material.

![]() ![]() I might have to try some at some point after reading the articles. I was unaware that they unlike other heads continue to spin after contact and through the animal......Thus why they can blow through cape buffalo shoulders.

The SF's are a great head they are well worth the money. I still have not broke down and purchased these but I think I may have to at some point.

I called AlaskaBH today and asked where their broadheads are made and was told in Korea with Japanese steel, I also asked about the Silver Flames and if they are being made in Germany again and they said no that AlaskaBH is still producing them.

Maybe they are making them until his buddy can get things up and running in Germany? I have no idea for sure though.

Now, if I were to choose between the Silverflame ( both produced by ABS and Markus in Germany ) and the Maasai broadhead by ABS, without even thinking about it, I would choose the Maasai. The accentuated convex angle of the Maasai is what makes it so darn lethal. IMHO

Don't waist your money on the Maasai. Doing a field test of one shooting it into a shoulder blade the blade got all dented up. I also tested a silver flame and a steel force premium head and both of those heads were fine. I took a pic and posted a review of the 3rivers site. Take a look before you blow $100.
