I now have six beautiful Hartcraft Xchange Trophy I Broadheads. I love them. I shot at, and hit, a raccoon that was going after my cat the other day. A head shot on a 'coon at 20-yards wasn't too difficult, but the broadhead performed excellent!
My question is this: Since I've shot a few of my new broadheads and one of them has stuck in the ground, how do I go about sharpening the blades. I'm not in a position to buy more blades so I want to make sure the ones I have last as long as possible. I know I can turn the blades around and use the other sides, but I want to make sure both sides of the blades are shaving-sharp!!
Do I just use a fine whetstone or what? What is recommended??
