There's one additional potential benefit to using a 2 blade vs a 4 blade... I've heard that there tends to be less animal reaction after being shot.

Oh, like when they just stand there spewing blood everywhere and they have no idea that they are dead? yeah that would be a benefit I would think. Less tracking.

I agree. If your bow is quiet and broadheads are sharp, this can occur with many broadhead styles.

I have an older bow but I have put some upgrades on it. I think it's quiet and I have been told it's quiet enough.

Another thing that adds to less animal reaction is fletching type. Feathers tend to yield less reaction than stiffer vanes like Blazers.

Cool, cuz I have feathers on my gold tip arrows. I think the two blades will work out really good then.

I like the 4 blade 100 grain buzzcut but I am really considering a 125 grain 2 blade head. Good deal of info in this thread.

glad i found this thread because i was thinking of going to buzzcuts this next season. i noticed the Stinger hasn't got much airplay on this thread. i was just talkin to a guy at the local archery shop and he prefers the Stingers because of better blood trails. can someone confirm or elaborate a little bit? he was telling me that the seraded blades tear stuff up but don't cut clean. also i am shooting 320 fps with 280gr GT'S. + the weight of the BH of course. are these magnus BH'S right for my speed?
thanks in advance

The serrations on the Buzzcut cut very cleanly and leave great blood, why I posted the video. I shoot Stingers and Buzzcuts past 320 all the time but which weight you need will come down to proper spine of your arrow and draw weight.

thanks for the reply Woody. i'm going down today to buy some buzzcuts. i think i have the proper spine for my set up i hope. if they end up hitting left i will try a 125 head and see what happens. according to the easton chart though the spine is correct for that bow. thanks again

Don't you have to use a special stone to sharpen the serrations?
I just got some Stingers. That was one of the main reasons of my decision over the Buzzcut.
