Default Swhacker Broadhead and Sharpener

Okay guys well I ordered swhacker broadheads the other day and today they got here. Wow way bigger cut than I imagine with the 2 1/4 inch cut on the 125's. Looks Wicked. I also ordered their new hdx 3 sharpener which is awesome. I have already sharpened my buck knife sharper then when I got it. Has one angle for broadhead sharpening and one for general knives. Hoping to get a review on swhacker in ballistics gel and a review on the sharpener .

The Swacker BH is the old Sonoran BH invented by Rick Forrest from Arizona and renamed when the fisherman (?) took to advertising these heads. They will cut a whicked hole and fly like darts. Looking forward to your review.

Cheers!!

Just do the ballistic gel and give us the results. I too am going to be testing some new BH's once I get them here. I found a place for the homemade gel I am going to try. Also going to be testing different arrow weights with low to high FOC on the arrows via insert weights and see if that alters the results of penetration. Wish the BH's would get here soon.

I have the new Tekan T3's on hand already and will be getting the new Phathead SOB's and the Ramcats from Smoke BH's as soon as The Broadhead Shed gets them in. I am also going to getting some of the new Arrow Dynamics mechanical/fixed hybrid BH called the Radian. They should be out this month. Looking forward to your tests and the tests I hopefully will get to do soon.

okay perliminary results are that swhackers are amazing. Using a hand towel as simulated hide I heard the swhack. Penetrated over 16 in of ballistics gel. Blades opened right after impact leaving a 1 1/2 entrance and 2 1/4 exit. Amazing wound channel leading me to believe that they are awesome. In the process though I have lost 2 of them. One went and burrowed itself into a tree and in trying to get it out I messed it up . The second one went all the way through and exited at a high rate of speed and never found it. WOW need to buy more for october because swhacker will definitely be coming in the stand with me this fall. Pics to follow.

Would you mind sharing the ballistics gel recipe. I want to add some to the test I am doing, but I can't afford the huge prices of the commercially bought stuff.

One of the best things about the ballistics gel richa3md and I made is you can boil it down and reuse it as long as it's not dirty.
