I went on another hog hunt in east Texas this past weekend and had outstanding results (again)! This boar came in at 18 yards slightly quartering away from me. I settled my pin on the back of the shoulder and THWACK!!!! Now, I’ve seen some ridiculous blood trails using Grim Reapers, but nothing like this! The ground where the boar was shot look like a scene from CSI! I found the hog 20 yards piled up between two trees and there was blood sprayed on both tree trunks a good 5 feet high.

Awesome that is what I want to hear I will be using Grim Reapers this year my first year with a Mechanical BH.
I don't need any complications and from what I have been reading there wont be. Congrats on the hog and many more Live to hunt and hunt to live, Later. Will

I have purchased $250 bucks in broadheads trying to find the best one for me and this year I killed 5 deer with GR razor tips and none went over 50 yds and one dropped after 3 steps.
I have now ended my search for the best cause I have found it! 4 were pass throughs and the other was shot down into the opposite shoulder. All broad heads were in tact and able to be reused but I don't reuse them often. Prefer new ones once they are shot into an animal. Just my two cents on the subject. Good luck all, can't wait for the next season! |
