update...just sticking with fixed for this year...a bit confused with all the styles and technical jargon surrounding the mechanical category of broadheads;

vertical compound bow gets Thunderhead 3-blade 100's; crossbow gets Slick Trick Standard 4-blade 100's; in storage are Muzzy 3-blade 100's

I used the 100gr 1 3/8" Grim Reaper Razortips this year for antelope. It was my first experience with them and I was very impressed with their performance. Between myself and my hunting buddy Dan we took four goats and every one fell within 50 yards.

I would use the Rage three blade. The cutting diameter is 1" and 3/8. I use them and they freakin rock.

I've seen the damage shwackers and spitfires do and I think either or would be good but I would go with the Spitfires because they don't require a band.

It's not a band it is heat shrink. Strong enough so it won't deploy early and flexible enough to always deploy.

Of what you have listed, I have used the above highlighted two extensively. Both are excellent heads. I feel the Innerloc is the slightly tougher of the two, but the NAPs are FAR sharper out of the box. There are two things you can do with the Innerloc that you can't do with the NAP. 1. You can change the cutting diameter from 1 1/8" to 1 7/8". 2. You can shoot it open, like a fixed blade. You might ask why you'd want to to the later. I have a DB T2 blind. I could shoot the EXP fine through the small open windows, but the large main window has mesh that you cannot remove. The EXP blade design is not conducive to shooting through mesh. So, several times I had a shot that I could only take through that permanent mesh window. I simply opened the EXP and shot it like a fixed. Worked flawlessly. I've shot them, open, out to 60 yards at targets with no lost in accuracy. They are not nearly as quiet when shooting deployed, however.

The changing of blades on the EXP is much easier as well with the clip-locs, but I don't reuse heads anyway except on my traditional gear. Don't let the clips fool you on the blade deployment. They feel stiff, but they work. They open quickly and dependably.

Personally, I like everything in design better with the EXP except for two things; the blade sharpness and the slightly larger cutting diameter of the NAP.

I've taken many deer, turkey, and coyote with both. Both will do the job perfectly. You can shoot both with confidence.

I saw someone mention these earlier but the new G5 T3 is a very nice BH. It uses little clips and are strong enough to shoot through mesh blinds and stuff. They fly great at targets so far, I have not had the opportunity to see them impact a deer but they impress me so far. The rear deploying blades will save you a ton of KE.

Well guys, for me, after the tests I did with my bows, my mechanical of choice is the Swhacker broadheads, 100 grain 3 blade / 100 grain 2 blade and my favorite the 125 grain 2 blade.

I'm trying to get them to design a Magnum series 2 blade broadhead that will go well with my 100# Athens Accomplice 32 !!!!! With a 3" cutting diameter, but I think that will stay something that is in my mind...lol lol

By the way, my 730 grain Dangerous Game full metal jackets fly out of this heavy bow like lightning !!!!! Impressive

Using NAP Spitfires for the first time this year- 100gr head, 405gr arrow @ 290fps. They shoot right with my field tips to 50 yards. I have killed 2 buck & 2 doe with them so far this season & I am AMAZED at the wounds they cause. Used one head to kill 3 deer just replacing blades until the 3rd deer bent the head just minimally in breaking the arrow. A real poor gut shot buck went 150 yards & was left overnight. He was icy cold inside when I found him in the AM, so he expired soon after getting shot. I don't believe I would have recovered this deer with my smaller fixed blades heads.The 3 other properly hit deer all fell in sight within 35-45 yards. The best hunters I know were using Spitfires & now I know why! As far as "no rubber bands" some makers say that about their heads but they still use rubber bands in the form of rubber "O" rings jammed in at the blade hinges. All rubber can harden in the cold, soften in heat & deteriorate in the heat & sun over time.The Spitfire uses a real metal leaf spring that is immune to those problems. Put them away at season end & come next season they are 100% the same, no dried out rubber nonsense to annoy you. I can't say enough about the Spitfire. I know a guy who has killed over 100 deer them & never had one fail in any way. If he stops hunting now, I can tie him with only 96 more Spitfire kills :-)
Good luck!
