Default Low draw weight mech

Ok here's my setup. 04 Bowtech MityMight, 29.5 inch draw, shooting GoldTip carbons, using 100 grain tips, at 50 pounds. Just recently had to drop the draw weight due to some shoulder issues. I was shooting 59# and was getting 270 fps out of this setup, not sure what my current speed is as I haven't had a chance to chrono it.

Have shot Muzzy 3 blade 100 grain for years with great success but for the last couple years have been thinking about going to a mech for something a bit different. Very well may stick with my Muzzy's but would like opinions on a mech that I can be confident on performing out of my current setup.

Have seen first hand how well NAP Spitfires do from my fathers crossbow.

I guess I should also add, these will be used mostly for whitetails but we do have several black bear around and if one comes by I plan on taking it as well.

I also hunt about 25% of the time from a popup blind and would prefer to keep the shoot thru screens in place.

While you have a long DL, with your draw weight being fairly low, I'd steer away from the Spitfires as they seem to require more energy to open their blades up due to the locking mechanism. If you are stuck on going with a mechanical, I'd suggest using a Rocket Steelhead.

But with this said, I'd go with a fixed blade. You can stay with your Muzzy's as they are an excellent BH or go with a COC type BH (I use Buzzcuts 125gr, 2 bladed).

HEY PCH!!!!!! glad to see you made it!!!!

The guys here will help line you out. As far as a blind with screens. I wouldn't use any mechanical with them. G5 i believe advertises the new T3 can be shot through mesh, but I don't know if I would.

I have noticed that Swhackers penetrate fairly close to my Hellrazors at 40 yards. The Grim Reaper 1 3/8 inch cut would be the most extreme I would say with your setup. Idealy I would stick with a fixed blade as well.

Even rage has a 40 KE version but I personally in good conscience would shoot at a deer with a mech if not properly equipped just my 2cents
