After having thought about what mechanical I was going to shoot this year, I decided to order Sonoran 3 blade 100 grain broadheads. I can't wait to get them and see how they fly and shoot through my target. Rick obviously has put alot of thought into these and yeap, I can't wait to give them a go

the hole that broadhead will make will be epic! I am unsure if you have enough kinetic energy in your bow to use those heads!!! HA

Well, so far, I have tried, the 100 and 125 grain 2 blade Swhacker broadhead and like them alot however, my ultimate favorite has to be the 3 blade version, they are pretty amazing and will be launched at a bear ( hopefully this spring ) using my 100# Athens Accomplice bow. My arrows using these broadheads weigh in at 760 grain and will pack a 3 blade mega punch !!!!!

Here are a couple of pics of the head and I have joined a copy of a 60 yard test I did today with my Athens Accomplice set at 85# on the next post. I shot thru a 3/4" piece of plywood.

I couldn't resist to do this test this morning with my new Accomplice 32, knowing at first its outcome because I had already done this same shot with my APA Black Mamba but I needed to see a comparable shot with my new bow.
Set up: - Accomplice 32 set at 85# ( I did this same test with the APA set at 84# and wanted to compare both bows ) - 730 grain Dangerous Game FMJ 300 spine, 27.5 inches - Sonoran Bowhunting 100 grain 3 blade mechanical - distance 60 yards - 3/4 " plywood So here we go, a first picture of my new pride and joy and the broadhead. ![]() These are pictures of my target, which is a small blue dot that is a little smaller than 3/4 inches. You can see the inscription of the test on the board. Right behind the board is the box that one of our bows came in from the Athens company, how awesome is that The box is approximately 1 1/2" behind the wood. ![]() ![]() Now I backed up at 60 yards and I see Sylvie come outside the deck door and yell, "Don't miss now honey !!! You only have one shot !!", and giggled as she went back inside. I didn't say anything as I knew I was going to get it much worse if I did, pressure, pressure !!!! lol lol you see, that's the kind of treatment you get when you live with your bowhunting partner ( but I am not complaining - poor Eric J, your going to get to know Sylvie pretty fast this coming spring ) lol I take a few deep breaths and I very slowly pulled her back concentrating on my spot, anchored and reminded myself to follow through, 1....2....out it went, man that felt good...Twaaaackkkkkk!!!! I couldn't see my arrow but knew I had hit the plywood. ![]() As I got to within 20 yards, I couldn't see where I had hit and at 15 yards I just stopped, started laughing and I just felt another level of joy I had not lived with my Athens Accomplice, Oh My Goodness, I hit the blue dot !!!!!!!! Its hard to explain, never I had felt better with the shot and it did go exactly where I had aimed. ![]() Now look at how much penetration I got with " Dangerous Five" shooting 85#, incredible !!!!!!! The feathers actually stopped the arrow from doing a pass thru !!! Here is the back side of the plywood, pretty amazing. Look at the hole that broadhead left in the box, another reason why I absolutely love this broadhead. ![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, I am blown away, its as simple as that. Watch out bears, I'll be in my stand soon, only a few months to wait. And that was a lucky shot, by the way !!!! ![]() Daniel
