Although I prefer a fixed blade, if I had to choose it would definately be the 2-Blade. The damage is stupid on those things!

Some good info here for the Rage users. Espesially the blade noise. Thanks.

I have never had a "rattle" with my 2 blades at all. The new style that has come out with the different o rings makesa huge difference. I have had 100% complete pass throughs on all my rage shots.

I personnally love the 2 blade, I do think that they could go back to the drawing board on how the blades are fixed in place (I have had orings break in my quiver) but other than that, to me....They are simply the best for overall performance. I used to be a diehard muzzy guy, I shot several deer with them and had no problems with performance. But the tracking jobs were sometimes very tedious. With the rage tracking is as easy as......well, I really don't know what could be easier!!!!

To be completely honest i wont use these heads... why? i am gun shy because of all the negative i have heard in the past 2 years . Some say you can't go by that because you read and hear bad about every head out there, realy? i have not read nearly as much bashing of any other head compared to rage...and i believe were there is smoke there is fire. I am not saying they are junk or anything BUT as cartman said i can't use somthing im not confident in, i respect the animal to much.

I totally agree with you about the comfort and respect of the animal. Trust me there is noone on this planet that respects the animals more than me. I had a 165" 12 point at 8 yards away in november at the edge of dark and when I put my pin on him I could only make out his outline and I let the bow down. Everyone calls me crazy because he was so close, but I just will not ever in my life take any chance on any deer, doe or GIANT. But I can tell you this, I feel that the rage heads are the most ethical heads on the market. I have never, no matter good shot or bad had a deer run any more than 75 yards after shooting it with the rage. With every other head I have used I have had atleast one deer run 300-400 yards or more but with the rage they never make it to 100. Now I am a pretty good shot, but I have made a couple of bad shots due to limbs with the rage and it didn't matter. I gut shot a doe this year due to a limb and she ran 27 yards and was dead. They are truly amazing, buy a pack and use them, kill a deer and take a picture. If you do not like them I you can send me the heads and I will refund your money. I know what a rage cut looks like from all angles to so no fake jobs trying to get some money. This is how much I believe in the rage's abilities, but if you are not comfortable with them I will suggest you don't use them, but whatever concern you have with them just send me a message and I will more than likely have an answer. Thanks guys for your comments both good and bad. Keep them coming

i haave nothing against rage at all, i use them from time to time. i prefer the g5 tekan (black) because of the construction of it. i have had pass throughs with rage 2 blades but about 50% of the time the blades are bent or broken and the ferrule is bent pretty bad. i will use them till i run out of them on turkeys. they really knock the crap out of them! oh and i checked mine i have around 10 left and the blades dont rattle.

I know a lot of rage fans and a lot of non rage fans. Here is my take. When the rage came on the scene it was the biggest shift in broadhead construction (mechs) in a long time...it basically shook the ground of the mech industry....rear deploy instead of front...nearly took away the chance of deflection....at that point I think the head went under a lot of close attention and the bad points were brought out more than the good. The rage is no different than any other head in my opinion. It has it's bad points and good points. I think the quality of the blades could def be improved upon, I think the chore of changing the blades could be changed, I think the body should be beefed up and the blades should secure a little better. The good points I have found are...unreal blood trails, perfect flight (unless you have one open..back to the secureness of the blades), very rare you wil ever get a deflection, rear deployment, sharp out of the pack. So just like any head there are good points and bad.

i've shot the 2 blade and it does leave huge holes. i always am going back and forth though between fixed blades and mechanicals!

I'll have two different heads in my quiver this year. Rage 2 blade and G5 Montec's. I like to have the option, and I've always been back and forth with mechanical's vs. fixed. Both of these heads fly great for me and I'm confident with them as well.

I have the three blades, although I've not taken game with them I have found them to group with my field points so well that they may just be my go to head for anything 40yds, but I have tuned with tricks all shoot well out of my rig as I have it so we'll see

The ones I have seen were being used by some of the guys going up moose hunting a few years ago. They all swore by them and these heads did put a number of moose on the ground.

I have different broadhead but I know if one of these rages is put in the boiler maker, something will go down for sure
