I am shooting 50 pounds at 25'', and would be shooting up to 30 yards. Could I shoot the 2 blade 100 grain or would the 40ke be better, and does the 40ke have a practice head to sight in with ?

I would recmmend against both. If you want to go mechanical go with a Grim Reapers Razortip 1 3/8 or the new Razorcut DS.

I would have to second that there are a lot of great broadheads out there but I would stay away from big cut mechs with a setup like yours, they will work on good hits but on even slightly marginal hits you will have problems with them.

Well I live in a suburban area and can only shoot up to 10 yards except when I go to my friends house, I can shoot up to 30. Like y'all know. Im the only one in my family that bowhunts and I do not know if my bow is tuned and even if it isn't, I can't tune it becuase I dont have the space or equipment. About all I can do is move my pins. I want the MOST forgiving broadheads and I dont want to have to sacrifice a head to sight in with either, which is why im thinking about mechanical, and rage comes with a free practice head for that very purpose.

I don't want to know about other broadheads, I just want to know. I have 45lbs of KE and the Rage 40ke is for under 40ke. Is the regular fine for anything over 40ke ?

The "40ke" is a marketing thing. I wouldn't use either head with anything less than 60lbs of draw weight. That's just me though.

I went on a Pig hunt back in June and shot 2 pigs with the Rage and 2 with Grim Reapers
Both with the Rage did not go further than 10 meters and left big holes and lots of blood The Grim Reapers didn't do as good of a job in my opinion but I still got both the pigs I would go with the 40ke Rage they say they are made for lower poundage bows And have a 1.5 inch cut so you should have no trouble. You could always test them out first Before you use them to make sure the blades deploy properly ……

You obviously have concerns about using the Rage heads and have been told by others not to use them. Cartman and 05 sprcrw obviously have the experience to answer your question. Forget about Rage and use what works with your set-up. I think when it comes right down to it most people in the know would recommend that you use a fixed blade head.
