Ive noticed that most replaceable blade bhs almost cant be sharpened. Especially noticed this with rage. I tried several things too, even diamond toothed fles to no avail, its part of the reason i wont shoot them. That being said even with sharpening ive never really had a "hair shaver" from any type of bh.

I have a set of Diamond wet stones in three differant stages, coarse, fine and ultra fine. I have sharpened Hellrazors, Grimreapder expandable blades and the solid tip, Magnus Stingers and the bleeder blade as well as every knive in the house. Also the Wasp expandables come with a roll on the edges of the trokar tip these stones are perfect for getting those sharp as well. As for the Rage I have not used them yet, but you should be able to it takes time and practice. The steel they use on these blades are extra hard so a diamond stone is the way to go and again it takes time. Keep at it and you will see what I mean. I ussualy start out with the coarse stone and work my way down, unless the edges just need touching up a bit and I always sharpen any broadhead straight out of the pack. The only one that I have not had any luck with are the Ram Cats the blades are a bit to small, but I have sharpened the tip on those as well. Good luck and keep at it you will get there....

I use a file , then a fallknivec DC-4 stone to finish (600- 6000 grit)
the "secret" is to keep the same angle every pass u made. for me is easier to use the file and the stone for all the length of the blade, not like the factory sharpness. with the file, I could keep the same angle for all the lengt of the blade. one thing I was watching: using too fine stones (or stropping with leather with polish cream to obtain the mirror) you will have a super sharp edge, but u will loose the "saw" effect. I sharpen the Zwickey, the Razorcaps and the Wensel with the file first then I use just a 600 grit stone (DC-4) to finish it. they will not cut the hair, but it will be (for me) better to cut the meat (take a look at the "edge" blades on spitfires or at spyderco knives). I hope I could be helpfull to somebody Fabrizio |

I will admit that im not very skiled when it comes to sharpening however i can get the job done. I have on the other had plenty of bhs that put a nice slice in my fingers and thumbs. I actually check the sharpness by seeing if they cut my fingernails if it does its sharp enough for me.
