Default Swhacker vs. Grimm Reapers the angle shot

I've heard a lot of hype from people that shoot GRs and from Swhacker shooters on how well their broadhead performs on angle shots, but that mkes me wonder have they ever been compared side by side to see which is better? If so where can I find this comparison? If not this would be a great video idea for you guys that enjoy testing broadheads and tinkering. I'd also like to hear personal opinions on the matter. I'm already on the search for my mechanical for next year and intel is my best friend. Thanks all.

I can't speak for a comparison. What I can say is I have not had a deflection with a Grim Reaper. I have also not had a deflection with the Swhacker, but that's because I have never used one. I have had several shots on a severe angle with the Reapers and they have all penetrated as opposed to glancing down the side of the animal. As a matter of fact, all have been pass through shots with a few of them blowing through the opposite shoulder. One of my most memorable was in a situation where the doe jumped the string and I hit her quartered hard away. The arrow exited the opposite shoulder and as she turned, she threw her neck toward the opposite shoulder where the arrow again entered the base of her neck (right side) and completely exited at the base of her jaw on the left side of her neck. Completely unreal. There is a pic here of the deer but she was shot late in the evening and there are only a few cell phone pics floating around. One of the most unreal angles and unreal result I have ever seen. She was approximately 32 yards away(can't remember specifically as that was three years ago).

Tigerhunter - where did that arrow enter on the hard quartering away shot? Just curious how far the penetration was.

It was approximately behind the back rib on her left side. If I remember correctly, it actually broke the last rib on her left side about mid way up traveling forward. It hit the opposite side shoulder and may or may not have deflected some but it exited right beyond the opposite side front shoulder traveling forward. It then entered the base of her neck, right hand side as her head had ducked to her right side(the side opposite the entry) and traveled nearly the length of her neck where it again completely exited just below her jaw in on the left side(around the area of her throat patch). It was a complete pass through. The arrow actually left the neck/jaw area and more or less fell to the ground from there. I had no idea what had actually happened until I found her. What I did notice early in the trail that there was blood nearly shoulder height on me(about 6'2 inches tall). So, I thought, "why is this deer bleeding from the neck area". It turned out that it had severed her juggular and numerous other veins in her neck as it passed through. She still traveled approximately 90-120 yards(can't say for sure because it was black dark before I found her). It was unbelievable man. I couldn't believe it really, and I was looking at her with my brother and a friend of ours. We were definitely astonished at the amount of blood at her resting place as she had crawled around a bit, spraying blood over everything. I have seen some serious blood trails, but this is arguably the best I have ever seen. THe most amazing thing was how far she ran. It totally blew me, well us, away. The will to live is something amazing.

Grim Reaper does the job, apparently.

I'd say watch all the torture tests that have been done over the years........I don't currently use GR's but I have in the past and I know that they are some of the best penetrating mechanicals I have ever seen (next to my old favorite Steelhead 100's) I havent seen any youtube videos of Schwackers penetrating through a steel barrel yet....
