Default Enough for Grim Reaper and hogs?

I picked up some GR 100gr 1 3/4" shooting them out of my PSE Axe 6 set at 62lbs at 29"dl. 395gr arrow. Not sure about the speed.

Will this be enough for hogs? Going for the first time and new to an expandable and hogs so I'm not sure.

Or would a COC head be better? Like a Buzzcut 4blade? I'd rather have the extra cutting diameter if you think my setup will be plenty for the Reaper.

Hog hunters and Reaper shooters give me some feedback please.
Thanks!

Haven't hunted any hogs, and I know that hogs have tougher shoulder blades, but I blasted through both shoulders of a deer with complete passthrough with 2" grim reapers. Destroyed the broadhead though.

PT, I tried looking up an article I read in Bowhunting World Oct 2008 but can;t find a link anymore, but it was a MH test and the tester had nothing but good stuff to say about how well the GR penetrated......he said he whacked a 120lb hog and it passed thru and hit another hog behind it and it passed thru that one too. I'm not a professional hog hunter by any means but as long as u let the hog quarter away from you and you place it in the last couple of ribs, you will get a pass thru with the reaper. Of course I am a COC shooter but I would feel comfortable with a GR on my arrow.

Thanks Plew SC,
I think it will do the trick. I'm a big COC fan myself. The heads I made this year to hunt with in the homegrown section were COC with a little extra kick like your SOB without the moving parts. They work flawlessly. I'll look for the article thanks for posting!

I shot a 374 gr arrow with a 29 draw around 62 pounds for deer. I shot the reapers 1 3/8 and some 2 inch. I blew clean thru the doe with the 2 inch and the 1 3/4 will be even better.

I hear ya WA. I hope to put a hog or two down this year. I really got them for the whitetails next season. My first deer I plan to make fall with my homegrown expandable then let the grim reapers eat. Really wanting to see what that 1 3/4" will do. I have heard nothing but great things about the GR.

A lot of great GR supporters on here. I'm glad to hear it. Looks like a really sound broadhead. I think Widowmaker took that cake this year. I think he killed a small army of whitetails this season with GR. My confidence level is way up on these heads.

I killed 12 of them myself with the reapers

Well dang it man you laid the smack down too...Congratulations! I hope to have half that much success this season coming up. I might be shooting a little traditional as well this season coming up.
