I just know that the mechanical broadheads loose a lot of energy to open the blades.
bigger surface to cut = more energy needed
most of the mechanical have frictions until the blades are fully open

bigger the animal, bigger the problem with a wide, mechanical broadhead... so
IN MY OPINION
Bigger the animal, smaller the cut surface.

Also if u will not pass completely, if hitted in a vital point the animal will die

but I think a pass trought is better, specially with big and dangerous games

always in my poor opinion

I think if you are going to shot a 2" cut head you'd best have a lot of energy behind it.
