I also shoot rage 2 blades they are very acuratte i dont know about penetracion (because i missed the oportunity two weeks ago to see it
).Some of my group hunt whith 3 blades and the general opinion its they are very good on deer but not so with wild boars(no pass throughs). |

Not to be rude, I shot a kudu and an impla with them with no pass thru's but the animals left huge blood trails and they were found within 5 minutes of tracking.
Now here is my question to al the guys saying thay are bad besuase of no pass tru's. Is your animal more dead if you get a pass thru then when the arroy stops on the opposite shoulder? The animal in Africa is tuff buggers and the fall down in seconds after a rage 2 got them!!

How do you know it opened right after it left your bow? You must have awesome eyesight to see whether a broadhead is open or closed in flight! So many guys want to blame the Rage for bad shots THEY make. I have shot 30+ deer with Rage and Snyper heads and not 1 time did the broadhead fail.
I had a guy one time swear up and down he double lunged a deer with a Rage but could not find much blood. Well the next day I found his deer----gut shot! Just sayin' |

They are devestating with the correct shot placement and enough KE. They fly like field points and I have never had them open up in flight (knocked around in the quiver is a different story). In all, I have shot 7 deer (4 does & 3 bucks - all Florida deer except one Kentucky buck) with the 2 blade Rage. I got pass throughs on all but two of the bucks. In one of the FL bucks on an 8 yd. slight quartering away shot, the BH broke the opposite front leg and was just under the skin on the backside (no exit). The other non pass through was poor shot placement on my part. I shot a big KY buck too far forward in the shoulder while quartering away (I thought he was gonna take another step). Only got about 5" of penetration and never found the buck. All deer, except the KY buck had excellent blood trails. 3 of the 7 BH recovered had bent blades that required replacing.
All deer were shot with a 395 gr. Easton ACC arrow from a Mathews Switchback XT @ 70# shooting at 275fps (KE = 66 ftlbs). |
