No floats, shot it with our Muzzy XD spincast reel and my favoritet 150# Tournament line and our new carbon arrow, worked just fine and had it at the boat in about 10-15mins, we did put another arrow in it as we always do with big fish, but it was definitely a blast. Shot a 74in on this trip as well as a bunch of carp, buffs and tilapia as well. We were filming this for Muzzy's TV show that should air next season. The gar was 7ft 6in and weighed 230#.

We did not eat that one, it went to the taxidermist, but the 74in gar I shot we cleaned and filled up 5 gallon ziplock bags with pure, white boneless meat and grilled some along with the tilapia and man was it good, love that gar meat!
