I have been shooting the old Muzzy 4 blades with nothing bad to say. Last deer I took I broke 3 ribs and shattered the opposite shoulder at 27 yards. The arrow exited but the fletching never entered the body (sticking out both sides).

I was thinking of changing to the MX4's this year and maybe bumping up to 125 grains. I see a lot of people talking about Slick Tricks on here and they have me tempted as the design looks great but the reason I like the design is that it is so close to a Muzzy!

Like I said, I have been shooting a 4 blade and wanted an opinion on 3 blade vs 4 blade. The entry/exit holes have been fantastic with what I've been shooting but I would like some expert advice and/or tips on the topic.

The MX-4 is definitely a larger cut then the standard but the compact, more angled design of the blades do seem to really open up the hide and create very large entry and exit holes. Not to mention they are some of the strongest heads we have ever produced!
I have always used and prefered 4bl heads but have to say I am very impressed with the holes I have personally witness on game taken with the new MX-3 heads, they do a great job and would not hesitate to shoot anything with them.

Default Muzzy 3bld 100gr

I cant find any complaint in a Muzzy Broadhead. I have shot every deer -1 with the old style Muzzy 3 blade 100gr and have never had a deer make it out of sight, I know this is due in part to good shot placement but I but my faith in Muzzy and have talked all my hunting buddies to switch from there mechanicals to Muzzy. I wont shoot anything else! Excited to try the MX3 with my new Athens IBEX though.
