Hey Mark, or anyone else who has any experience shooting antelope. I have a dream hunt coming up in August 30th thru September 2nd. I am shooting target tips very well out to 50 yards (hunting I have a personal limit of 35 to 40 yards) any advice? I plan to go with the 4 blade muzzy old style (although I just bought a pack of MX 4s and Slick Trick magnums and so far the standard 3 and 4 blade as well as the MX 4 out penetrate the slick trick by a noticable amount in my glen del target). Has anyone shot antelope with these broadheads?

Many, many antelope have died to those heads and they do a fine job, antelope are not really hard to put down and you can normally keep them in sight as well. Plus their bone structure is fairly light so any good hit with a decent arrow speed should put them down quickly. Accuracy and wind resistence is what to look for if you are going to spot and stalk hunt, so make sure you are grouping good and get in some practice in windy conditions as well to see what effect it has on your impact and you should be fine. If you are water hole hunting most shots will be fairly close and you will normally have time to get ready for the shot, but bring a rangefinder no matter what, shooting out of a blind can really mess up yard estimation and you will have time to pre-range spots from the blind as well. Good luck

Yes, I will be blind hunting, I got crippled up in Iraq i 2005 so I cant walk like I used to and spot and stalk is out of the question. But I lied to you. I shot the 3 blades next to the 4 and the 3's shot better in this Mathews Z7 extreme. So I am happy about that because I have more experience shooting critters with the 3 blade. I am pretty excited and have already sighted the broadheads in. They were only hitting right of my field points by 3 inches at 40 yards, so I was ecstatic to see that. I know what the 3 bladees do, I shot a spike bull elk slightly quartering away at about 17 yards =/- and it broke a rib going in and completly penetrated the off shoulder blade!! Anyone who has shot elk know how amazing that penetration is. Thanks Mark, maybe I will be able to post some cool pictures this year.

OK Mark, shot them in the wind and I went back to the 4 blade old schools, ha ha decisions, decisions but the 3 blades did not go to waste. Made an excellent wedding gift to my little brother. They shoot awsome in his bow also. But I will be BACK to the 4 blades. It dont matter, they both shoot so well. I am just splitting hairs here (hopefully) but we do love all Muzzys. What a great broadhead. Thanks for the tip shooting in the wind, never thought about that to much.
