I already do use the old hunting blades.I buy a new pack every year and use the blades from the previous year to tune with.

Default Hey Mark

I just wanted to say I'm done trying out different heads. With all my kills(average 6 deer/year since 1992)I have found no better head than the Muzzy in straight line penetration and durability! I've been using other heads that have high blade angles and short ferrules and I have found out the hard way that this style likes to deflect more. I shot a doe 3 years ago quartered towards me moderatly with a Muzzy 3 bld. Shot distance was 34 yrds. I know bad shot choice, but I knew the end result. Blew thru the shoulder and straight out the behind the opposite shoulder. Took out both lungs. Fast forward to last fall when using a super short 1.25" cut 4 blade and the same shot senario occured. Drilled the doe on the shoulder almost exactly the same way as the afore mentioned shot. When I found the deer I found the deer I couldn't believe it, the arrow actually deflected off the shoulder and exited in front of the back leg! 1 lung and gut shot. I'm returning to the proven one, Muzzy, for these reasons. I'm not going to sing the praises of those other heads any more. Not that they don't work as they do work, I just believe your product is superior in the above categories stated. To me they are of upmost importance in bowhunting! This falls moments will be Muzzy moments! Thanks for the great products!

Sounds like a plan and good luck, almost released on 1 Sat but he would not come out of strutting behind the trees to become famous on camera so I did not have a shot, could have killed him off camera but was really trying to record it, hopefully I can get another crack at him later. Good luck!

Hi Mark, this tread was a nice way to get to know you better. Have a beautiful day and thank you for being so nice to me this year. Canada's Northern Muzzy girl - Phantom MX-2 85 grain broadheads all the way

P.S.: I can't wait to see what they will do for me this fall.

Mark, would it be a possibility to get bleeder blades added onto the MX-2 for my moose hunt. The reason I am asking is because I really like the overall size of the broadhead and having two smaller bleeder blades could help on larger game.

What do you think?

Sylvie

Actually that head is called the Phantom MX 85gr not MX-2 but it is only a 2bl head, if you want to shoot a 4bl then the Phantom MX is the 4bl version of that head and weighs 100grs. Thanks
