Default How Many

Mark,
Just wondering how many steps there are in the making of a muzzy head. From start to finish, can you walk us through the journey?

Well let's see here, for out standard Muzzy heads the process is the same. All our heads are machined right here with our CNC controlled Swiss screw machines, then they are either slotted or come out completed depending on which machine is used. We clean them and bead blast the ferrules to remove any burrs or slivers. Then they are sent off for anodizing, as soon as they return we etch the name and size on them.
Our tips are run off as what we call bullets 1st then we use our proprietary process to machine the trocar design on them and then off they go to the heat treated for hardening and are cleaned when they return.
Our blades are recieved in house, we have the technology to do our own blades but due to cost differences we continue to use our current 2 suppliers.
When all parts are in, we do our QC process to select batches from each selection. We examine the blade edges and blade hardness, we test the hardness of the tips and assemble sample heads from each batch and shoot them thru our steel barrels to ensure the hardness and quality are correct. We also shoot them at long range to ensure the flight and consistency is still there as well. And we spin test the heads to ensure they are true. Then the lots are ready for packaging. Of course this is the abbreviated version and we have several steps in our QC process to ensure we are putting out the best product that we can produce.
Hope that answers that!

Default great products

Thanks Mark for leading us thru the steps. I love your products. As of late I've strayed away from Muzzys trying new this and new that. I find myself always coming back to Muzzy! I think if you find yourself always coming back to a product you should maybe think about just staying with that product Maybe the "new and improved" brands are just new and not really that improved
Keep up the good work Mark and the whole Muzzy team!
