Standing Bear will become famous soon enough
Default 170 grains 2 blade F.O.C. goes spring bear hunting :)

I first want to thank NAP for being very helpful. I will be receiving the new F.O.C heads this week and I just finished setting up a new sight to my spring bear bowhunting set up.

I'll be using an Athens Accomplice 32, NAP Apache Drop Away rest, Dangerous Game FMJ arrows. The specs are the following;

Total arrow weight = 704 grains ( with NAP F.O.C. broadhead )
Arrow speed = 271 fps
Bow weight = 101#
Kinetic Energy = 114.83 ft/lbs

Guys, I am excited and can't wait to see what this broadhead will do, something is for sure, I will do my best to put it where it counts and if I'm successful, I'll be reporting back with pics

Again, thank you NAP

Oh my GOD. You are now over 100#. I thought I shot heavy bows in my youth at 94#, but you are an animal. And we have a guy going to Africa that wants to shoot an elephant with a 74# bow. Maybe you should go as his backup.

Is this the same setup you use to shoot all of those quail?

I hope you stay forever strong, because old age is taking me over.

Sounds like it should be a good setup Daniel.

Thanks Justin

One of the things I realized when I bought these broadheads is they are meant to be used for crossbows however due to the energy I have using my bow set up, I'm pretty sure they will also work for me. I'm excited about this springs bear hunting, our season is about to open.

I will keep you up to date.

Daniel

Sounds awesome And I don't think you will have any problems pushing that arrow through even with its big cut. Heck I honestly think my setup might have enough to push it through a whitetail.

You think if I would be shooting 503 grain arrow at 267fps producing 80ft-lbs KE would be enough to get some crazy penetration with the FOC?
