Default Bloodrunner 2-blade & Spitfire MAXX now in 125gr.

Just wanted to give you all a heads up that we are now offering the Bloodrunner 2-blade and the Spitfire MAXX heads in 125gr.

They are shipping now, so they should start showing up in stores/dealers soon!

Well, the initial concept/reason for the FOC was as a crossbow broadhead specifically. Most crossbow shooters in the past have added heavier brass inserts up front. We simply decided to take that step out of the equation by putting the weight in the broadhead itself. Basically, no need to add any additional weight via a brass insert, just screw on the FOC, and hunt.

As far as bringing down the weight for compound purposes, we could, but that would also require reducing the cutting diameter!

Besides the added weight for crossbow users, that 3-inch cutting diameter is one of the biggest draws to the FOC! For durability/strength, there's simply no way to reduce the weight of the head to 125gr.(the weight is predominantly in the ferrule) while retaining the strength and durability we feel is necessary if attempting to keep the cutting diameter @ 3". What we'd ultimately have is a 125gr. 2-blade Spitfire—most likely with a cutting diameter around 2" or so.

We had a few guys who shot the FOC (turkey version) out of their compounds this Spring, and it performed just fine on turkey. In our testing, out to 25 yards, there was only a 2-1/2 to 3" drop in POI vs. a 125gr. broadhead ... so for someone who shoots 125gr. out of their compound already, it wouldn't require much in the way of adjustments to your sights if you wanted to try the FOC.

I know of at least two people who are planning to "test run" the FOC out of their compounds this Fall. One of them was already shooting the Thunderhead Magnum which is 170grs. itself ... so I'm sure he'll do just fine as long as he puts the arrow in the right spot.

I myself will be anxious to see how many compound shooters give the FOC a try this Fall ...

I may just buy a pack and see how well they perform. I have a stand that the furthest shot is 23 yards. I think with my Monster6.0 and the FOC it would make short work of the deer.
