In light of some confusion since the initial release of the Bloodrunner 3-blade—and following upgrades to that design—I wanted to post a notice for the members here.
Most of you probably have heard of the early issues with the Bloodrunner's—with accounts of lost screws, broken blades, etc. Likewise, I'm sure many of you noticed the change from the original red ferrules—to the current black ferrule models. In between, there were changes/upgrades to the Bloodrunner to address the earlier problems. Most notably, the blades and retaining screws have both been retooled since its initial release. So, in the event you—or someone you know—had an original (red ferrule) version that broke/lost blades/screws—you can return it for replacement. Likewise, if you have had one of the earlier re-releases (black ferrule) that had lost blades and/or broke—those can be returned for replacement as well. Worth note is that many of the problems occurred from repeated shooting into foam/broadhead targets. NAP has since released practice heads to eliminate the need to use the real heads for practice purposes. Just wanted to notify anyone who had earlier issues with the 3-blades that any damaged BR's can be returned for replacement. You can contact me directly to arrange to return any damaged Bloodrunner heads. Thanks, Jason |

Was really impressed how it blew through my broadhead target...unscrewed...pulled arrow out....screwed it back on...

In light of this discussion/topic—here are some "test photos" our tech specialist did with the retooled Bloodrunner 3-blade head. Shot through 3/8" plywood.

There was also an adjustment to the temper of the screws—as well as an adjustment to the holes for the screws themselves. Finally, we also started putting Lok-tite on all the screws during assembly to help keep the screws locked down. The change above to the blades was the main change, with a few other minor tweaks/adjustments to the screws, etc. to improve the overall performance and durability of the head. All these were made to address the early issues with broken blades, and later instances of the screws backing out, etc. |

Here's a short video of a "recovery" of a small buck shot with the Bloodrunner this past November.
The initial shot was a partial "spine" shot. The deer dropped, floundered around and eventually flopped his way right underneath my buddy JT's stand. He then finished him off with a second Bloodrunner. Kind of a crazy hunt—as we all know can happen. JT's peep ended up not lining up properly once at draw—so he actually shot and missed the deer twice with an "other model" of head before hitting paydirt with his third attempt to finish him off. Anyway, you'll hear him comment that he didn't want to "shoot that brand new one". Between JT and his father-in-law, at last count, they had taken 6 deer and a 6x6 Elk with the Bloodrunner's this season! Anyway, the video shows how nice an entry wound the Bloodrunner is capable of delivering. Here's the link to the video: This is a password protected video on Vimeo It will ask for a password—which is "droptine" |

Yessir. That was one of 3 deer taken that morning with the Bloodrunner. For some reason, 2 out of the 3 archer's ended up spine'ing their deer. Made for "easy tracking" at least.
The third was a small 7-pointer my buddy Brian shot—complete passthru—with an outstanding bloodtrail. My small group of hunters had a heck of a year with the Bloodrunner. Here's a photo of how we found his arrow. Blood literally dripping off the vanes. Buck was about 70 yards away at the bottom of a draw. ![]() This is a photo f the 3 deer taken with the Bloodrunner that morning:
