Default ? concerning the 2 Blade Bloodrunner

I know there were some reviews on this head, and its seems to be like a great looking head. I have not heard anything bad about it. I just want to know how this head will perform through mesh. I didn't want to buy a pack of them, and find out they won't even work for turkey hunting like I want them to. If anyone knows this answer please fill me in!

Here's the word straight from the engineer behind the 2-blade himself. As you'll see, he's not personally a fan of shooting through mesh due to probable issues with accuracy—but he also addresses the 2-blade in general:

Hi Jason,

I personally believe that shooting through mesh is a really bad idea and do not recommend it (with any broadhead really).

I’ve killed 8 birds from a blind with the bow and the Spitfire Gobbler Getter; all without mesh and always with my back windows closed so I’m not silhouetted.

As for the BloodRunner 2 blade—it will likely open at least partially on the mesh—even possibly fully deploy the blades—which can negatively affect accuracy. I can’t predict how accurate he’d be shooting it through mesh.

For Turkey in general, I’d steer him towards the 1.75” Spitfire Gobbler Getter which will drop birds faster (if possible).

Hope maybe that helps somewhat?

Glad you got a chance to send a few GG's downrange! They pack a pretty good punch on the birds.

We just recently had a hunter from Illinois who completed only the 8th "archery-only" Turkey World Slam down in Mexico. He sent in some pretty good video from his hunt. Oscellated turkeys are some beautiful birds, and I was glad to see the GG help him seal the deal!

Can't wait to see some photos/report from your hunt!

I know this is really late, but I would personally like to thank you for an honest answer. I really appreciate it. I actaully ate a tag sandwich, and didn't even go out turkey hunting, because I had just recently been called back to work from the railroad, and didn't want to make them mad by not going right off the bat....haha.
